Boston Red Sox 2010 Baseball Schedule

MLB has announced dates for the 2010 season. Highlights include the Red Sox hosting the Yankees at Fenway Park to open and end the 2010 season. The Sox play the Yankees sixteen times in 2010. The Red Sox close out tthe 2010 season hosting the Yanks for three more games at Fenway. The Red Sox will also host the Los Angeles Dodgers for a three game stand at Fenway June 18-20. The Dodgers will also confront the Yankees in 2010.

Red Sox Host Three Game Series Versus Yankees

The Boston Red Sox won the first eight games of the 2009 season against the New York Yankees and were in first place fora good part of the 2009 season. The Yankees countered back with four consecutive win versus the Red Sox and the Yankees now are in first place. The Yankees will visit Fenway Park August 21st to begin a three game series that may impact the AL East Division race.

Boston Red Sox Force ALCS Game 7 vs Tampa Bay Rays

The Boston Red Sox forced Game 7 of the ALCS by defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 4-2 and trying up the ALCS 3-3.  Josh Beckett pitched a solid five innings for the Red Sox.  Kevin Youkilis and Jason Varitek hit key  home runs for the Sox.   Just a few short days ago, the Rays were seven outs away from the World Series with a 7-0 lead over the Red Sox.  Now, game 7 will be held Sunday and the winner will go to the World Series.  The Red Sox are 9-0 under Francona with elimination on the line in the Championship Series.
